DAVID A. CUMBERLAND, CPA CGMA is principal of the firm.

 

David primarily practices in inbound and outbound United States tax international compliance work covering both individual and business tax preparation and consulting.

 

He works with visa holders, both prospective and actual, consulting on US tax effects of holding a US visa as well as foreign investors buying and selling real estate, investing in partnerships, or looking to start a US business or bring their foreign business to the US.

 

As a Certified Acceptance Agent for the IRS, David can assist with obtaining a U.S. Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) for nonresident taxpayers as well as assisting with FIRPTA withholding on sale of real estate.

 

He has published in the FICPA's Florida CPA Today magazine. He retired as lead shareholder of the international team at the largest independently owned firm on the Gulf Coast of Florida but now continues to serve clients in a boutique setting.

 

Additionally, David is fluent in Spanish, serving and advising U.S. taxpayers with cross border or purely U.S. interests that wish to be advised in Spanish. He participates in international Spanish language webinars and produces client-based articles in English and Spanish to educate both current and prospective clients on U.S. tax compliance matters as it relates to nonresidents and/or IRS international disclosures.
